Karmine Corp clinch the win for a home crowd at the Rocket League Paris Major

French team Karmine Corp – Tristan “Atow.” Soyez, Axel “Vatira” Touret, Charles “juicy” Sabiani – have been crowned Rocket League Paris Major Champions. In the explosive Grand Final, they won 4-1 against Twisted Minds and took home a share of the $354,000 prize pool and the coveted RLCS trophy in front of a roaring home crowd at the La Défense Arena. 

After two days of behind-closed-doors action, the world’s best took to the stage for three days of elite competition in front of thousands of fans. Karmine Corp led every series they played in the tournament and knocked out their French rivals, Team Vitality, in the semi-finals.

This is only the second Major this roster has competed in together, and this win makes them top challengers going into the World Championship in Fort Worth, Texas in September later this year.

With guidance from their coach Alexandre “Extra” Paoli and performance coach Jordi “Jordi” Nouvellet, Karmine Corp dominated the final. Tournament MVP Vatira said, “It feels amazing, we have been waiting for the Paris Major for a long time. All my family and friends and all the fans from the Blue Wall, I am so happy and proud of my team.” He added that playing Vitality “was the toughest match” but it ultimately “went the way we wanted to go. We managed to win every match, we had great preparation and we were flowing in this tournament.”

All eyes now turn to the Rocket League World Championship, where the best teams in Rocket League will compete over 6 days for the ultimate title and the lion’s share of the $1,200,000 prize pool. Karmine Corp have already qualified, but they’ll continue chasing one title that they’re missing: World Champions.
