Soon, the best of the best will hit the stage in Las Vegas for the RLCS Season 6 World Championship! But before #LANVegas begins, let's first take a look at the "Pro" player style and creativity that got those star players to the big show in the first place; while also inspiring us to improve ourselves. After that, we’ll show you where to go to find even more tips that will raise your game

Custom Training

Custom Training

Whether you’re Mr. Dependable when it comes to rotations, or more of the freestyling type, your form and approach will almost always dictate how you play on the pitch. Those of you who love Dominus, and want to show off your aerial and freestyling prowess, can jump right into the “Redirects” pack; while Octane and Twinzer enthusiasts can master the fundamentals in “Toki’s Basic Shots” for a sequence that every Rocketeer is likely to experience. For those of you after the ‘Ball Chaser’ title, you can always take it down a notch with “Warmup for Silvers” or try the rest of the ‘Featured’ list of Custom Training packs if you're so inclined.

What’s most important, though, is that you challenge yourself to become better with each game. With the right mindset, the sky’s the limit -- until you need a ceiling reset.

How to Improve Your Playstyle

As the Rocket League skill ceiling continues to rise, players have found more ways to creatively score goals with tricks like the tornado flick, ceiling shot, and flip reset, all of which should help you define and play to your strengths. Sometimes, it’s good to look back at your replays and dive into what works for you and what doesn’t, because we know that ceiling shots are impressive, sure, but they might not always be the best play.

If you need help with analyzing your replays, the community has your back. Check out Gibbs’ long-lasting Analysis series, where he helps players of all Ranks do a play-by-play analysis; if you need more opinions, check out the RocketLeagueCoaching subreddit or SunlessKhan’s new Allegiance University series for advice and insight on how to improve at various different levels of skill. There are so many ways to play Rocket League, it doesn’t hurt to try and change things up now and then on your quest for superiority.

What makes YOU unique? Share your style with us on Twitter or the subreddit for a chance at being showcased in the next Community Spotlight!
