The Rocket League Championship Series finished up another epic weekend of League Play! North America was a broom closet full of sweeps and blowouts for Week 2, while Europe kept us on the edge of our seats with last-minute goals and amazing comebacks.
North America
North America took to the field Saturday with G2 Esports falling to Exodus in a 3-0 sweep. After two weeks of League Play, G2 has their work cut out for them in order to qualifier for the Season 2 Grand Finals. Exodus continued their undefeated streak by delivering another 3-0 sweep to Take 3. GarrettG, Turtle, and Moses continued to blaze a fiery path as the only undefeated team left in North America.
The next four matches were simply a game of tag on wins and losses. Take 3 was swept by Revival 3-0, then Revival received a sweep from Deception. Deception would pivot from a sweep into a 1-3 loss to Genesis. After a strong win, Genesis took a hit from (NRG Esports (formerly known as Kings of Urban ) with a 1-3 defeat. NRG Esports would finally break the game of tag by securing their second win of the day over VindicatorGG 3-1.
Europe
The EU also featured some incredible match-ups. The first win of the day came from OhMyDog as they toppled Northern Gaming 3-2 in an underdog victory. Northern Gaming responded with a victory of their own over MockIt Aces 3-2. MockIt Aces shifted a few gears and were able to shut down Red Eye in a 3-2 series. Red Eye was able to regain their focus and swept Summit 0-3, who was then swept again by Precision Z. The final two matches showcased the one and only FlipSid3 Tactics who finished the day with a 3-1 victory over Precision Z and a 3-2 win against Reunited. FlipSid3 Tactics is the only undefeated team left in the EU, and they join Exodus as the only two teams left in the RLCS with untarnished records.
