The Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) is just over one week away from returning to LAN play. The excitement is palpable as 16 of the best Rocket League teams in the world get ready to hit the pitch for the first RLCS LAN event since December 2019.

Ford Drives Back Onto the RLCS Pitch

What Is the Fall Major?

The Fall Major is the biggest international tournament of the RLCS 2021-22 season Fall Split, where 16 of the top teams from around the world come together to face off for points, regional bragging rights, and the title of Fall Major Champions! The event will be held in Stockholm, Sweden at the ESL Sweden Studio. It's also the longest RLCS LAN tournament ever, clocking in at five days of competition!

The Fall Major marks the first RLCS LAN event since the Season 8 World Championship in December 2019. As such, stringent health measures will be in place throughout the event in order to help ensure the safest event for players, talent, and staff. We're looking forward to getting the best players in the world back together and competing safely.

Qualified Teams

After the dust of the Fall Split Regional Events had settled, 16 teams rose up to claim their spots at the Fall Major. Check out the list below, sorted by highest seed to lowest:

Format, Broadcast, and Schedule

The Fall Major format will be the same format that has been used throughout the Fall Split, which is a 16-team Swiss Stage that feeds the top-eight teams into a Single-Elimination Bracket. The Fall Major will begin on December 8 and run through December 12. The first three days of play will feature the Swiss Stage, while the final two days will see teams make their runs through the high-stakes, Single-Elimination Bracket. The Grand Finals will be a Best-of-7,  Best-of Set.

Broadcasting during the Fall Major will work a little differently than during the Fall Split. For the Swiss Stage, there will be a main stream on the main Rocket League Twitch channel and Rocket League Esports YouTube channel, and an alternate stream on the RLEsports Twitch channel. For the Single-Elimination Bracket, all matches will be streamed to the main Rocket League Twitch channel and the Rocket League Esports YouTube channel.
