It's almost fall and you know what that means—Collegiate Rocket League (CRL) is back! The new season is just around the corner and we've got all the information you need to get your team signed up and ready to rep your school. There's $100,000 in total Scholastic Awards up for grabs this season, so let's dive into all the details!

Breaking Down the CRL Fall Season

Let's start by covering how the league will operate throughout the 2021 CRL Fall Season:

  • The Eastern and Western Conferences will have 12 teams each (24 total)

  • Each Conference will play in Single-Round-Robin League Play

  • The top four teams in each Conference advance to the Conference Playoffs

  • The top two teams from each Conference Playoff advance to the 2021 CRL Fall Championship

  • Details about the 2021 CRL Fall Championship will be announced at a later date

  • The total amount of Scholastic Awards for the 2021 CRL Fall Season will be $100,000

  • The 2021 CRL Fall Season will be held online

Sign-ups for the 2021 CRL Fall Season are now live on smash.gg! So, make sure to assemble your squad, sign up, and get ready to hit the pitch and represent your school! In addition, don't forget to join up with the official CRL Discord server to stay in the know about all things CRL.

If you don't make the main CRL league, don't worry! You can still rep your university on the Rocket League pitch. The College Carball Association (CCA) will be hosting an open league this Fall. So, make sure to join the official CRL Discord server so that you don't miss out on the action!

CRL Fall Season Key Dates & Broadcast Information

As stated above, registration and sign-ups are now open on smash.gg! Once you've got your team signed up, the next step will be the CRL Qualifiers. You can find the dates below:

  • Open Qualifier East #1: October 3, 9 a.m. PT (12 p.m. ET)

  • Open Qualifier West #1: October 3, 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET)

  • Open Qualifier East #2: October 10, 9 a.m. PT (12 p.m. ET)

  • Open Qualifier West #2: October 10, 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET)

If your team qualifies, then League Play is up next. Here's the broadcast schedule:

  • League Play, Week #1:

    • October 13: 5 p.m. PT (8 p.m. ET) on the Rocket League Twitch Channel

    • October 14: 5 p.m. PT (8 p.m. ET) Squad Stream (Rocket League and CCA Twitch Channels will both be live and Squad Streaming on Twitch)

    • October 15: 5 p.m. PT (8 p.m. ET) on the CCA Twitch Channel

  • League Play, Week #2:

    • October 20: 5 p.m. PT (8 p.m. ET) on the Rocket League Twitch Channel

    • October 21: 5 p.m. PT (8 p.m. ET) Squad Stream

After that East and West Conference Playoffs will start:

Open beginning on October 3, 2021 to legal residents of Canada (excluding Nunavut, Northwest Territories and Yukon) and the USA who are 15 years or older. Minors must have parental consent to participate. Players must be enrolled full time in college, university or vocational-technical school in Canada or USA and maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA or similar grading. 24 League prizes available: scholastic awards each with a value ranging between $1,400 to $8,00 USD, 8 Regional Conference playoff prizes available: scholastic awards each with a value ranging between $900 to $2,000 USD and 4 Fall Championship prizes available: scholastic awards each with a value ranging between $1,700 to $4,000 USD.
