It’s true! Just announced during the Xbox E3 2017 Briefing, Rocket League is being updated for Xbox One X.
Due on Xbox One X in 2018, Rocket League aims to take full advantage of the horsepower found in Microsoft’s new console. We’re still in the early stages of development, but when complete, our goals for Xbox One X are 60 frames per second at 4K with full HDR (High Dynamic Range) support if you’re playing Rocket League on an HDR-friendly TV.
We will share more information on our Xbox One X release once we are closer to launch. And for those who own Rocket League on Xbox One or Xbox One S, don’t worry, your copy will travel with you to the Xbox One X if you pick up the new console (as will all of your stats and items).
